Late Summer/Early Fall Incentives

I also see this fine print in the Welcome Home Offer: "Offer cannot be combined with other select offers or discounts and may be extended, modified or withdrawn at any time without notice."

I wouldn't be surprised to hear them say, it's Welcome Home or D23 Gold or Military, but not more than one. If anyone gets some intel, let us know. My guide is out on vacation until Tuesday.

Looks to me like the Poly incentives have gone up too. I checked 150 and 300, and incentives are both $5/point better. Maybe they did this across the board?

Anyone have experience with having a guide rewrite your deal when you haven't closed but are passed the 10 day rescission period? I'm guessing I can't do it, but looks like I'd save $500 over what I got in July. I suppose I can ask.
I believe you can hearing from other people. As long as you haven't closed, I believe your guide can rewrite the deal.

Now the dilemma.... I'm getting $200 a point with MB for poly and $190 a point for Riv with MB. I feel like $190 is a good price for Riv... but do I bite the bullet and just do $200 a point for direct poly? Enable me into this decision. We have direct points in a June UY for Animal Kingdom and VDH. We wanted an October UY to balance spring trips... is this as good of a deal we are getting in the modern era? We are headed to aulani in September we could sign in person.

Changing the prices mid-cycle seems pretty extreme and tells me sales are much slower than they were hoping for...

On the member cruise last week they were marking an extra $1000+ off ($7/pt for 150 points) the regular prevailing incentives. And now that many or most of the people who bought on board can't rescind anymore they are basically offering an almost identical discount to all by changing prices mid-cycle. If I had purchased on board (I didn't), and was still in the rescission window, I'd probably be canceling today solely due to that type of marketing. I honestly don't like how they did this - so much for "super-exclusive"...

I've always felt that jacking up the prices by $10 in the spring was a mistake on their part. By doing that and then offering the same measly discounts they were still selling Poly at higher prices than at the initial launch last year. From a marketing/fomo perspective that sometimes works (I've had more than 1 salesperson tell me the launch prices were the best we were going to see). But from an economics perspective, many of those who paid those relatively high launch prices (and with no MB) were likely the most enthusiastic buyers with the highest willingness to pay, i.e., highest on a downward sloping "demand curve". If they want to sustain sales, they need to court buyers lower on that demand curve...

I wonder if you could combine the current CFW offer with D23 AND the $1,500 visa credit 🤔. If possible with MB that would put the total cost for 150 points at $170 per point. Very tempting in order to finally get the blue card...specially so if LSL and CFW get combined.

I purchased the CFW on the assumption that they will combine with LSL. I base that on absolutely nothing and I could be totally wrong. 8-)I figured if I was wrong I get the eleven month booking window at CFW, which my wife and I love, and it probably won't be too hard to book LSL in the future because of the size of the resort.

Totally agree. Why else would they do it?

That was me... no MB at launch, but so concerned they were going to sell out of my favorite week at Poly tower that I bought it the first day. Look how that turned out....

Depends how often you want to stay at Riviera! If it's a lot, and you want to grab resort view studio point rates, you'll need that 11 month buffer.

If you haven’t closed it’s not big deal they can do it.

Or they had always planned to do this as part of Welcome Hone Weeks that start today?

Just didn't announce it
