We are flying in from Texas on March 6, and probably won't get to the parks before 2-3 pm. We have the two following days at the parks, so I don't need to be in a rush, but since we have the hoppers, I thought we might as well go in an do a few shows-maybe Aladdin, World of Color, or Animation Studios. Any suggestions for things to do in a half day with such a late start? Is it likely all fastpasses will be gone for the day by the time we arrive? Thanks in advance!

If you arrive around 2-3 in March, the only FPs that might be out are Star Tours and/or Space. Pretty much all of the other FP rides will still have FP, but some may be for late in the evening (Indy, Screamin). My guess is that for some rides like Big Thunder, Splash, Tower of Terror, etc., the FP return time may only be for about 2-3 hours out (i.e. if you get a FP at 2pm, it'll be good at around 4/5ish)

Also at that time there will probably still be FP available for World of Color, although it will probably be for the later show.

For a late start, you might want to do some of the rides that have high capacities, and thus, faster moving/shorter lines. These include Jungle Cruise, Buzz, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, and some of the shows at DL. Over at DCA you can check out Little Mermaid, the Animation building, Aladdin, and also some of the other shows. :thumbsup2

Agree with everything DLR29 said. I would like to add though that we sometimes use this time to ride Toy Story since we don't like to do rope drop for that ride and TS quickly gets to its 45 minute (sometimes more in peak season) wait time and stays there for most of the day. We figure since it's going to be that long a wait most of the time, we may as well do it on a late arrival day when rides that have fastpasses will have long waits and/or long return times.

This is also a good time to just take time to enjoy the Park. The beauty, the architecture, the small details, the shops, the music, everything that I fear people just zoom by and near take the time to actually enjoy. And to ME, those are the bits that make Disney, well, Disney.

When we arrive later on a Sunday afternoon, we usually head over to DCA first. Last summer Screamin FPs were all gone since it closes early for WOC. I think 2 or 3 is the best time to go on TSMM. The lines seems to go down around that time. We also went on Little Mermaid and then went to look for dinner and wandered around Electronica a little. This might also be a good time to do a little shopping or looking in the stores to at least get an idea of what they have if you plan to buy anything.

We always go to the park around 2 pm .... we always get lunch and head in to the parks after. You can do a bunch of stuff during that time frame. We usually start in CA adventure for it's not as crowded and then after that head over to disneyland. It works perfectly for us!
