Well, I failed at getting a BOG ressie for dinner. So went with back-up at Ohana. However the reservation is not until 8:30PM. Now I am reading that the restaurant runs behind. How long of a wait should I expect?

TIA

I had a 9:30 or 9:40 in November as a solo diner and it took an hour. Which is semi-miserable without anyone to chat with!

It can vary so much but they definitely are known for running behind. I'd probably count on waiting 30 minutes but it could be more or less. Also, you still have time so you can keep checking back for either a reservation at BOG or an earlier reservation at Ohana.

I have been trying to get ohana for dinner in June and only 930 had been coming up. We plan to swim in the evening that night so I didn't book it. I've been looking the past few days and scored a 645 so keep checking, people do cancel. I found that this am at 645.

Sorry what does BOG mean?

on may 3rd we could only get (and did take )9:35 pm for a ressie, what time does the restaurant stay open til?

BOG stands for Be Our Guest, the new Fantasyland restaurant in Beasts castle.
'OHana accepts dinner reservations until 10 PM. This means new parties will be seated up until 10 PM (or after if they are still running late). Those with later seatings are still served hot, fresh food and are not rushed out

We decided to stay a night in Orlando after our cruise in June and I was able to snag an ADR for Ohana on June 7th yesterday at 9:10pm...It is kind of late, but Wishes is at 10pm so I think it may be kind of fun to watch it from our table since we won't be visiting any parks....:thumbsup2

We have never waited more than 10-15 min for Ohana and have been several times in the past.

The only thing I hate is eating all that food so late!! I told everyone we must walk around before going to bed that night or take a late swim at the hotel when we get back.

I am just so excited to be going!!! Could not believe I even saw a time show up for 5 of us this close too June.:cool1:

I probably will check for something a little earlier just in case, but I really think we will be OK with what we have.

For our Fall trip I can book on May 5th~~Planning to book BOG, CRT & Ohana again for that trip...Have some newbies with us that have never been!

so a 9:35pm res. we might not be out til 11 p m or so right?

Probably close too it!! My experience in the past is we have been there for atleast an hour from the time we were seated...;)

Once you sit and the food starts coming it just keeps coming....So good!!:goodvibes

I wouldn't consider Ohana unless you are willing to sit in the lobby waiting for up to an hour. It happens every single time we've been there. We have quit going there.

If you don't mind the wait, then you will probably enjoy it. A nice experience, just be prepared to sit there a long time between the meats coming around.

Just don't make any plans for after dinner (you won't be there on time), and do expect Disney to not come close to seating you on time. If those are okay for you, go for it. If not, try somewhere else (maybe Wilderness Lodge? fun for families).

I will never book again past 6. But prefer the 5, first ressie. But we are a party of 10. That does make a difference since they only have a few tables that seat that many. January 10, 2014 I had an 8:30 ressie on my birthday. Didn't get seated until 9:30 and only because I kept pestering them and said we would sit at a non 10 top table. They ended up pulling two tables together. It was miserable and 2 out of my 6 kids fell asleep before dessert. We are rope drop people so we had been up early.

Ugh now you have me wondering! We are doing Animal kingdom during the day.. Currently have a 6:50 but toying with the idea of switching it to an earlier time. I was hoping to get back to the resort (we would be checking into our second hotel that day, POR) and I thought about stopping and changing before heading over!
