Late January vs. mid-February (President's Day week)

We went in January in 2014. The weather was mid 70's to high 70's. The crowds were low. It was great, we didn't wait long for any rides excepts for Cars.

Last year we went Presidents week. The weather was mostly good. We had one afternoon/night of down pouring rain, but the rest was nice. But the downfall was the crowds. Very busy, but we still had a great time.

I would go in January again for lower crowds, but this year we are going in March because ours kids are getting to the age they can't miss that much school.

Note, the largest convention in Anaheim (Across the street from Disneyland)is being held January 21-14th in 2017 (NAMM Show), this impacts Hotel prices, restaurants and the parks. (They rent out the Hyperion Theater to hold a concert). So crowd size goes up a bit due to friends and family that join the attendee, parking is awful, as the city, who runs the largest convention center on the west coast, has a deal with Disney to use some of their parking spaces that weekend.

There is the Super Heroes Marathon on Martin Luther King weekend (the weekend before).

Interesting. The crowd calendars are recording very light crowds (like 2-3) on January 22, 23 and 24. That's playing a big role on choosing my dates. Sounds like they may not have accounted for this.
