Hi Everyone!
We have a late departing flight home at 9pm from our cruise leaving from Orlando. Any recommendations on what to do in between.

Thanks

If you have a rental car- Visit Disney Springs, go to Cocoa Beach, Kennedy Space Center, resort hop at WDW, do one of the WDW water parks (Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach). If no car- day room at the Hyatt. Ah... the list goes on! Enjoy your cruise

Renting a car at the port was relatively painless - FYI the Budget line was longer than the rest. I'd definitely recommend getting a car and going to see whatever strikes your mood that day. Disney Springs would be wonderful!

We've done the day room at the Hyatt before and it was fine. Renting a car is cheaper and I like the freedom. We have family in Orlando so we use the day to visit.

Get a room at the day rate at the airport Hyatt.

I agree with this.

After the cruise, you don't want to deal with picking up and returning rental cars, running around in one of the parks (or even Disney Springs), having to worry about your luggage, etc. Just go back to MCO and get the day room, take a nap or go hang at the pool. You want to keep that day as relaxed as possible before getting on the plane.

rent a car and do something fun-Disney springs, Blizzard Beach mini golf or something like that. If it's the time of year when the hotels are decorated for holidays it could be fun to hotel hop and see them all.

I do have to add that if you have to spend a day in an airport, Orlando (MCO) is pretty good. At least there is a wide variety of food options before going through security, lots of shops . . . I had a few hours recently in LaGuardia. There were some chairs and a Dunkin Donuts kiosk. It was pretty dismal.

The terminal for Southwest and the other budget airlines? Yep. You fly budget, you get budget at LGA.

We live in Queens, and refuse to fly in or out of LGA. We fly in/out of Islip most of the time.

I have my own nickname for LGA - but I got in trouble for saying it on here before. La remains, but the G becomes a word that rhymes with Gepetto. :)

On a recent trip we spent a few hours at Gator Land (very fun and reasonably priced) and then watched a movie at a theater in Orlando, then headed to the airport.

We went to the two Disney Outlet Stores when our flights left at 9pm as well. We got there around 10:30, did one of them, had lunch, drove to the other and then headed to the airport.

We just did this in September. We rented a car (it was only $15 for the day) and went to Disney Springs. Since we didn't spend any time at WDW this trip, it made it kind of seem like we did. My daughter and I both felt like it helped end our trip on a fun, fairly relaxed, Disney note.
