Having booked our 1st ever cruise on Disney (or any cruise line) for next April we booked 2nd sitting for dinner, our choice since we don't like dining at 6pm. Our worry now is will we miss out on the evening entertainment. Can anybody help us on this point.

there are two showings of each evenings entertainment. You will attend the one that occurs while first seating is having dinner. First seating will attend the shows while you have dinner.

The entertainment in the bars doesn't usually start until 10 p.m. through the evening. You should not miss anything. We sailed and did early dinner, we met people on the ship that did late dinner and we always met up in the bars for the fun entertainment.

We always have the late seating for dinner, and go to the early shows. You should still have enough time to head back to your cabin and shower/change etc., before your meal. Also, there is plenty of time to take in other entertainment on board after your meal: if you are in a particular hurry one evening - just tell your Server, and they will do their best to speed up the service. John,

The theatrical performances in the Walt Disney Theatre were on our "at sea" days. They offer 3 performances. A 2pm matinee, 6:30pm showing for the late dinner seating and an 8:30pm performance for the early seating. We had the late seating also and the matinee worked best for us. We all met after lunch at the theatre, the shows last about 1 hour so it doesn't cut into too many other activities. By seeing the matinee, your still open for the bar entertainment later.

We got ready for dinner--had late seating--then went to show, family entertainment in one of the lounges or for pictures, then ate. OUr son then went to club activities and we went to adult activities/shows.

Are you saying there is time between the show & late seating dinner to shower and change? We have booked our first DCL cruise for June 2005 and I was curious how long the shows lasted. Can anyone give me more info?

I did not know about the 2pm matinee. Thanks HollyH!
