Late checkout?

Hey Disney experts,
Do resorts have late checkouts?

I am thinking about doing a split stay at the Coronado or pop century then the Contemporary.

Check out at one will be at 11am then check in at 4pm at another. That is 5 hours for me to find something to do with my luggage.

Anybody dealt with this situation?

Split stays are easy at Disney. No need for a late checkout. Bell services at resort 1 will transfer luggage to resort 2. Do online check in and you will get a room ready text. When you get to your second resort, retrieve your luggage or just have bell services bring it to your room.

Luggage usually arrives later in the afternoon. I just have them take it in the morning and go about my day. Arrive at my second resort later in the day and settle in. Do it all the time without issues

Also: as soon as you check in you can request a later checkout. It might gain you an hour or two. Then just transfer your luggage via bell services or uber and check in at your next resort. You may get your room early, if not, they will hold your luggage and you can visit wherever.
