I sincerely doubt that you would experience a “huge” disappointment at any time that you arrived at Typhoon Lagoon.

Agree with this! We didn't get there until around noon a few days ago, and maybe it was a fluke, but crowds were low even during the heat of a 90+ degree sunny day, and we had a fantastic time.
