We will be arriving into MCO at 10:55 p.m. Is ME still running at this time? When do they deliver your luggage? Should I pack everything we need for bedtime and take with us on the plane? (even though my kids will probably be soooo excited they will not be able to sleep!)

Any experiences good or bad arriving at a later time. We usually take a 6:00 a.m. flight so this is going to be very different for me.

Thanks!

We are also arriving 10:55 pm and have decided to stay in the Hyatt at MCO, get up early Sat AM, go downstairs and take ME to SSR. I called and they said it can be done, just have to pick my own bags up at luggage, bring them onto ME ourselves.

ME runs 24 hours a day. It won't matter what time your flight arrives, ME will be ready to take you.

Your checked bags won't arrive until well after you get to your hotel. There are two ways to handle this;
1 - pack the night's needs (and the next mornings!) in your carry-on and have ME hold your checked bags until you call them in the morning.
2 - don't use the ME tags on your bags. Instead, check them normally and retrieve them yourself at baggage claim. Bring them with you to ME and have them put on your bus.

Of the two methods, #1 is preferable. Its always advisable to have a change of clothes and your med's in your carry-on baggage just in case the airlines manage to mis-route it, so you're not doing anything special. And you let Disney do the luggage handling work while you enjoy your vacation!

I agree with everything OKW Lover said. I'll just add some more ....

When you arrive at your resort, if you have everything you need for the night and morning with you in your carry-ons, then you'll probably want to request to have your DME luggage held 'til morning, rather than being woken up in the middle of the night.

Make this request with the front desk but also, more importantly, with Bell Services. I'd been giving this advice for a while before my trip. But then I guess I was SOOOO excited to finally be there when I arrived around 11:00 p.m. that I totally forgot to request that my luggage be held. At 1:16 a.m., our phone rang. It was Bell Services, asking if we wanted our DME luggage now or later. Um, later please. I called for it around 6:30 a.m. and they brought it up a few minutes later.

Even if you have it delivered later, the CM doing the DME delivery is pre-tipped by Disney, so you aren't being a cheapskate if you don't tip when your DME luggage is brought to you
