Late arrival…which park?

We are normally rope-droppers. However, this trip we will have my parents and sister with us…who are not opposed to RD, just don’t want to do it every day. We have Boo Bash tix for 10/17 so I figured the next morning would be a good day to let them sleep in…so if you couldn’t be at a park for RD, and assuming no genie/LL (bc at this point who knows), would you go to AK or DHS early afternoon with plans to stay late and do headliners (FOP, ROTR) at the end of the night? I’ve been trying to watch wait times but some days AK seems more manageable, other days DHS. We will most likely have an opportunity to revisit later in the trip but my sister is only there for part of the trip so trying to make a solid effort even with the late start.

It could depend on how many hours you plan to spend at the park after your late arrival. AK closes at 7:00 on October 18; HS not until 9:00. If you sister is only going to have the one day at one park or the other, I'd probably opt for HS.
