My family and I stayed at the Contemporary and it was a great time. The hotel seems a bit dated in terms of decor, but everywhere we went in the hotel, it was clean and polished even the Food & Fun Center looked great all the times I was there. The only thing we could call "icky" was the birds that congregated on the railings of our balcony and left behind their calling cards.
We were on the 11th Floor with a MK view which was awesome and I would wake up in the middle of the night and go to the curtain just to see what color the castle was at that point.
There was someone from DIS boards next door to me as I saw the little bright green Mickey shaped head placed strategically over the peep hole. Never did run into them though to say hi.
Oh well maybe next time. The Contemporary is a great location. Construction noise was never heard and I'm sure the rooms will be beautiful when they are all completed.
