Hi: For anyone just getting back from wdw how were the crowds and weather the last week of oct/beg nov.

I had to cancel a trip to the port orleans french quarter because of a death in the family. I really wanted to see wdw this time of year. So I may book for next year.

Thanks,

Deb.

My parents just got back Saturday from a week long trip at POFQ. They said the rides were virtually all walk on all week. They had won dream fast passes at MGM, but they said they didn't even really get to use them because the lines were so short on everything.

Weather wise they said it was humid, and would rain off and on occasionally but not badly at all. (Not like the down pours I had at the end of Sept/Begining of October). The only really bad weather day they had was the day they had tickets for the MNSSHP on the 30th. Both parades were cancelled, and the villians show was stopped after just a minute or two. They were aggravated that they had spent their money on it and got to see nothing.

Other than that they said everything went wonderfully.

We were there last week.

We didn't think the crowds were bad, but have never been to WDW before and have nothing to compare to. The only times we really felt the crowds were too big for us were Friday evening at Epcot and during the Halloween Party at MK on Sunday night. Even at the Halloween party the crowds didn't get to us until after the fireworks - probably because they close down part of the park.

We're from Arizona so we enjoyed the weather quite a bit. It was never hotter than the mid 80s, the evenings were warm(except for Friday when it got chilly enough for a sweatshirt). It rained off and on all week with some pretty hard downpours but hey when you're from AZ it's a novelty to be walking in the rain so we didn't mind. The overcast on most days kept the sun from beating on us so that was nice too.

Don't know if the weather was typical for this time of year...TS Noel was offshore all week and did affect the weather to some degree. this week it looks like it's been sunny and in the 70s all week.

we'd definitely go back this time of year however....the Halloween decorations at MK were great, the F&W festival is fantastic, and the Christmas stuff at Epcot was going up at the end of the week.

We were there the last week of October and couldn't believe how easy it was to get on rides etc.. We walked right into the Haunted Mansion, no wait at all. Monday was the only rainy day, but we saw all of the outside sights at Animal Kingdom before the rained started. Once it started raining we just went into the shows. The other days there was a brief drizzle, but nothing that required rain gear. The temperatures were wonderful, and the only humid day we experienced was on Thursday. We found both the weather and crowd levels to be great!

Hi, thanks for the replies:

Sounds like we missed a great week. We had dinner reservations for the fantasmic show oct 31st and I wondered if the hurricane would have cancelled the show.

Do mean to hijack the thread, but for those of you there on Halloween,is there anything that goes on at WDW beside the halloween party at MK? Did any of you go to that party? Was it really, really crowded? We are interested in going next year but can only be in WDW on Halloween night (leave for the Disney Cruise the next day). Was wondering if this was just not worth it and maybe the other parks had something nice on Halloween. Thanks for any information!

We also just returned from Disney. We were there from Oct 23-Nov 3. We loved that time of year! The weather was great. It was cloudy a lot but high 70's and low 80's. Shorts were great and you didn't feel dragged down by the sun. It seemed to spit or down pour every day but it never lasts long at the most magicial place on earth!

The rides were fantastic. One morning we were at MK at the opening and rode Thunder Mountain 5 times in half an hour. For most of our trip, we would get a fast pass, then go ride a smaller ride or two while waiting for our fast pass time. Sometimes, we rode the fast pass ride because it was only a 20 minute wait and then just ride again when our fast pass came up. It was awesome! There were days where fast pass machines were covered for the first couple hours because it wasn't busy enough to use them. Ssshhh! Don't tell anyone though!:rotfl2:

As for Halloween, we did MNSSHP on the 26th because I didn't want to go when it was sold out and busier. We were staying at the Polynesian and they did some special events that day including trick-or-treating in the lobby. Then those who didn't have MNSSHP tickets were invited to join the guests at Grand Floridian for a party in the ballroom. It was aweome! Less than 100 families, we had our own Mickey and Minnie for pictures and a photopass photographer. Donald and Goofy joined us later. Dancing, crafts, costume contests, tattooes, cookies decorating...it was a blast! We loved it!

If anyone has more questions, just ask. I'll do my best to answer!

We walked onto everything last week. Even at the Halloween party on 10/31 which was sold out. We did everything we wanted to. We are planning on going again the same time next year.

The weather was ok, except for Monday night. It rained buckets, but I got to see Expose sing a couple of songs. There was only a sprinkle of rain Tuesday am. Halloween night, we did the Luau, which had many empty seats. Thursday, the weather turned much better and stayed that way until we checked out Sunday to come home.

I wish I was still there. It was a great birthday trip! Maggie
