Last week of august or week before for crowds?

i have read various posts that the later in August the better, however the second to last week in August still has the annual pass holders blacked out for much of the week. So, the choice is last week in August where many schools go back in session but more locals using APs , or 2nd to last week with fewer locals but possibly more tourists still spending vacations ? Wondering which is more crowded, thanks !

What's you're idea of crowded? It's pretty much always crowded lately. And locals have no problem either pulling their kids out of school for a day or showing up after school. With the block outs ending right before the announced end of the 60th I don't think there's going to be much difference.

I'd say the last week of August. Many schools around here are going back to school earlier and earlier.the later into August you can go, the better. And as always, get to the park early. Get all the big ticket rides done early and then it doesn't matter (as much) how crowded it gets.
