We are going April 24-30 staying at the AKV. Only 5 more months to go cant wait. Is it too early to start packing??LOL

We are going over school vacation and I cant wait. I know it will be busy but thats okay! We are hoping to get the 7 for 4 deal at the YC and I got a gc from my ta so I am feeling good.

I'm planning a trip from April 24-April 29. Nothing booked yet still pricing and hoping for a general public special or an elusive pin code.

We, Grammy and Poppie, have the pleasure of introducing our 5 year old Grandaughter Eva to the World April 24 - May 1. She doesn't know yet, but Poppie and I talk about it every day! We did get a PIN and will stay at CSR, our favorite, at nearly half price!:lovestruc

just a heads up for the last week of april 25th and 26th are the all star competitive cheerleading worlds competition held at the wide world of sports complex. these are the advanced tumbling and stunting kind not the sideline type of cheerleaders. they have always booked into the allstar sports resort and cbr but spill over into others (usually the other value resorts). they have their own buses to get to and from the competition venues and highly discouraged from using the regular wdw buses when going to/from the competition. they're kept busy during the daytime but will be in the parks at night mainly. wdw has always had a party at night for them only at ak so that helps. the biggest issues for those not used to junior and senior high aged outgoing athletic cheerleaders (boys and girls from all over the world btw) is how that can affect use of the hotels restaurants especially the quick serve food courts and similar amenities. these are a great bunch of hardworking kids but they can be loud and they can all be required to be in similar places at similar times of day also coaches tend to have them meet in lobbies or similar places so that they get a head count as they move between venues. my daughter did allstars for a decade and they're generally really great kids, some of the hardest working most driven i've been around but not usually the quiet type. it can be a lot of fun watching them get together with kids from all over the world and stunt together in the yard areas. just something you might want to keep in mind when booking at this time of year.
