Okay I was planning on going to WDW on 10/31-11/5 but everyone tells me how crowded it becomes with Jersey Week. I was wondering if anyone had been the week before which is the last week in October. If anyone has any insight let me know. Also if I am over exagerrating about Jersey week being crowded. Just want to pick the less crowded time to go since my two small children will be with me.

Thanks

Jersey week better be in November! I always go the first two weeks of October and it has never been Jersey week! I think late October would be too cold for me. We were there mid October two years in a row and it was just too chilly most days to swim. Wonderful park time but not pool time.

The NJ School Holidays begin on the 11/5 and 11/6 but many take the whole week off. So this year from what I gather it will probably be the1st week in Nov. Not sure but from what I can put together. Had another thread on this and thats what I got from it. I Could be wrong though.

i dont think the whole state will be there so cant see that it would be more crowded than the summer months.

HI,

I have no info about Jersey week - But the end of October begining of November is a wonderful time to go! The weather is still warm but not oppressive and the crowds are light for the most part. I used to love going at that time but then got hooked on the 1st 2 weeks of December(also end of Nov after Thanksgiving) For all the BEAUTIFUL holiday decorations and VERY VERY LOW CROWDS. The trade off is the weather can be wonderful (74-76F) or it can be COLD(40's) sometimes in the upper 30's! But we are hooked on the holiday stuff!

Usually Oct and early Nov are pretty warm and sometimes HOT during the day.....a little cooler at night, though.

We've been to WDW several times in October - we'll be back the last week of October this year - and the weather is GREAT!

Early in the morning it can be a little chilly but then the day warms up nicely. Lots of sun and blue skies ..... very little rain.

You'll LOVE it!! :sunny:

Anyone who will be there for Jersey week will be there October 30th through November 6th. That's a definte. I'll be there for Jersey Week. Although I've heard on these boards how crowded Jersey Week is...other people have said it's not that bad. I think people went down there thinking that it would be "empty" and when it was not they were surprised. Like someone said, the whole state can't be down there....although half my kids' school friends will be.......::yes::

We have been "Jersey Week" 3 times and did not find it that bad. We got to ride everything and took advantage of pass with the more popular rides. We've found if you don't want to wait long to be at the park when it opens. Most families that come in groups take time to get ready and be at the parks and the lines get longer going into the park closer to noon. Have fun!

NJ schools are closed Nov. 4 & 5 this year. Those would be the weekdays most affected at WDW. But we went two years ago during that time and it really wasn't bad at all. We never really had much of a wait for anything. I'd go again at that time in a heartbeat (plus it was cool to meet so many fellow Jerseyites down there!)

October is our second favorite time of year to go. We always go early May and late October with this year being no exception. We will be there Oct. 20-31 (12 days) and looking forward to it. We just returned this weekend from a hot and crowded WDW, so look forward to a cooler and a Little less crowded time. The word is out that October is a wonderful time of year to go so the entire month is pretty active. It won't be empty like January, but not packed like summer and easter/holidays. Lots of things going on the entire month like MNSSHP and food and wine. I would choose the last week of October vs the first week of November. With November hosting the end of food and wine and super soap convention and festival of the masters the first weekend of Nov. All making for a pretty busy time, then throw in Jersey week to boot. While the weather is pretty nice and sometimes hot during the day, it gets a little cooler at night, so pack a few warm things, but not too many.

Okay, speaking of what to pack.....first week of November.......what do I pack???? Shorts, Capris, Long pants, halter tops, sweatshirts?????? What what what?????
:crazy2: :crazy2: :headache: :headache: :confused3 :confused3
