Last Trip? It was until we met Food & Wine -- Recap 2/12

We got in the car and drove to DTD. And with Mark's incredible luck, we found a parking spot right behind T-Rex and walked over to our destination for dinner this evening



Yes, we were finally back at Earl of Sandwich. We just love this place and missed it last year.



We finished lunch and then walked here to look around



We stopped in the Christmas store where I spent entirely too much money. I had to hide the receipt from Mark.

As we walked to our next destination, a family asked us to take their picture in our favorite spot at DTD (which was missing last year), and then they returned the favor



We then hit World of Disney where I bought a few items (I failed to take pictures this year of my souvenir purchases )

We stopped at the new co-op place. I thought of buying these dishes for Des since she is such a huge Beauty & The Beast fan, but I refrained.

By this time we were pooped. We still had to unpack for our four nights at the BWV and we had a very early morning the next day with some very special friends. But before I could go to bed, I had to take a few nighttime pictures from our balcony

"What is Attractions+?" It's a card they sell that gets you all the ride photos (as many times as you want) for $45. Kind of a Memory Maker or Photopass, but just for the rides. The first time I got one I had 29 ride photos, lol. Sadly, the videos don't appear to be included.

Oh dear. Obviously so very glad to hear your brother is slowly recovering but also deeply sorry about your Mom.

You know, when a room has a couch it just somehow makes it nicer to me.

WOW, given the chaos that is DTD, getting a parking spot like that is incredible.

HAHAHAHA, yeah, I expect that is a perfect representation of most husbands/boyfriends when Vera Bradley shopping is concerned.

There is some pretty scenery around Boardwalk but between the clown pool and the freaky chairs in the lobby that resort is very low on my to try list.


Bummer about the door to the room being messed up. At least you weren't urgently needing to get in there.


Yay for Earl of Sandwich and Goofy's. Both are must dos for DH and I.

I'm so glad to hear that your brother is home - that may be the best news I've heard all week!

I can't believe the battery was dead ... that's one I've never heard before.

The room looks really nice. And that's a great view! I love that balloon from Mickey and Minnie - so cute!

I love that hallway carpet - I wonder if I can get that for my house ...

Doesn't Marketplace Co-Op have some great stuff? I loved just walking through and seeing all the interesting stuff they have.

I've been to Earl of Sandwich once, about 10 years ago and swore I'd go back this trip and didn't. Next time! The food looks so good.

Ahh, I fell behind but I’m all caught up now. First of all, I’m glad that your brother is doing better, and I am praying for your mom. Such a tough situation for all.

Now, on to the TR - I LOVE the shirt you were wearing at DHS – so cute! And all the Frozen pictures of you and Mark are great! The Frozen Sing-along looks like so much fun.

What a nice little Anniversary surprise in your room! I agree about the bathroom at the Boardwalk, especially after we recently stayed in a Grand Floridian Villa studio!

Looks like you had a nice time at DTD. I’m excited to shop in the new stores there at some point.

I love the look of your room. It looks nice and roomy and I like the airy feeling of the room itself.

You really lucked out finding a parking place so close to T-Rex. The whole parking and parking lot fiasco at DTD is frustrating.

We did not do the sing along.. I do think it's a great movie i think the music is fantastic. Yet i am getting a bit tired of it... It's taking OVER!

Finally getting to meet up with Tim and family is priceless.

Dead batteries on the door- Yup that happens. Not very often but it does. Easy fix though I hope.

Hollywood Studios is not our park favorite either. In fact, I'm trying to figure out how to convince my kids to skip it this summer. I'd rather have a second day at Epcot or MK. The only thing they like about Studios is TSM and I'm not sure I can justify a one day ticket for the purpose of a single ride.

That frozen hat on Mark is crazy huge! I wonder how heavy that was. And yes, Mark is cute and obviously a great sport!

I know the hat pictures are always great, but the picture of Mark with the pirate skeleton really cracked me up. And as far as his pose and the expression on his face while you look at Vera Bradley bags...I know that feeling well!

I was MIA most of last week. Since we don't have another Disney trip planned for a couple of years now, it is becoming difficult to stay plugged in on here. I guess, I just try to find other things in life to distract me from the blues... Not so good, since I have a TR going. Usually, those TR's keep the blues from setting in, but for now, I just have no motivation to even do that. Hope it passes quickly.

Wow... after looking at the studio, I'm worried for our plans for August. We were gonna try for a studio at BCV- for 8 nights. We are trying to save on points.

I wonder how often the batteries need to be changed in the doors.

Well Less than every year. When we had the motion activated sinks installed at work they told us change batteries every year. 2 years out now and they are fine.

I had new keypad locks now at work for 3 years maybe and have not changed those batteries.

They do last for a good while. I guess Housekeeping used the last of the batteries up when they turned the room over.
