I took a long break from the DIS and am finally catching up on TR's. My dad was diagnosed with cancer right before my cruise and I have been having a hard time dealing with it. He should recover completely but I sat back and took notice and realized his health is declining in other areas. I am a total Daddy's girl so it's been rough, even Disney couldn't cheer me up.
I know we had talked about your dad. It hurts to watch our parents as they get older.
I loved meeting you and Mark last year and could probably spend all day talking baseball with him. Spring training starts soon.
Thanks; we enjoyed meeting you too. We are going to ouor first ever spring training game when we go to Phoenix in March.
AKL is a great resort, absolutely loved it in May although I didn't have nearly
as nice a view.
I won't stay there unless I pay for that view; it is a must for me.
The spot for the Frozen fireworks reminded me of a trip years ago with my kids. That was where the fireworks were held then.
I never knew the Studios had fireworks in the past.
Kona looks very good, I'll have to keep it in mind for a future trip.
One of our all time favorites.
Sorry you didn't like 1900 Park Faire. Guess the characters are hit and miss. We had a great time with them, it was our neighbors we had issues with. The kids ran wild and the whole family were slobs, food everywhere. I do think I'll stick to CP though. Nothing beats an early ADR and an empty Main Street.
CP will always hold our heart.
Glad you enjoyed Soarin. I am probably the only person in the world that hates that ride. I turn green. I can ride Star Tours and no issues but IMAX and 3D and I get deathly ill.
See and I get sick on Star Tours, Mission, etc. that's funny how rides effect us each differently.
I don't think I like the Frozen overload at the parks. I like the movie but my DGD's LOVE that movie and watch it in my car. Had to listen to it 2 times last week on a trip and I am so ready to LET IT GO!!!
Frozen stuff isn't bothering me. I loved the movie and the little ones are really happy with it all and they are the ones that count.
Looks like you had some awesome DIS meets. My first real friend on here has become a very good friend and I am fortunate to see him outside of Disney on occasion - ScottNY.
I knew that about you and Scott; it feels like I've known Tim forever and then we all know what happened with Nicki and I.
Food and Wine looks so good but unfortunately I may not get to Disney at all this year. No one to travel with as my DH doesn't really like it as much as I do and my travel buddy has other plans.
That's sad; too bad Scott isn't going this year.
I think I told you on FB but I'll say it again that is a wonderful pic of your sons in the baseball bat frame but I love that frame. I need to find one for a pic of my grandson the ball player. He has already been named the number 1 pitcher for his HS team, as a sophomore.
I'll ask Des where she got the frame...if it was something national or what.
OK I am finally caught up. I hope to stay that way now. I took advantage of the frigid cold and have been hibernating.
