Hello back .

So, we're just missing Firefly.....wasn't it the grand opening or something at her work? Wonder how that went...

Thanks Dana & so nice to see you & your friend, I like the face makeup, very cute too!

Thanks :) They let us get our faces painted because it was the first party season where they were offering free face paint to party guests. One night, all the boys got the 'girly' type of face paint, which was hilarious :lmao:

...awesome pic - where do you and your friend work??
[...I love the face-painting, BTW...:thumbsup2 ]

Thanks :goodvibes We were in MK custodial. At the time, we were Fantasyland/Liberty Square, but they reorganized the areas, so by the time I left, it was half of Fantasyland/Liberty Square/Frontierland. I lost my job in January 09 and I think she's a character attendant now, but I'm not sure. I liked the face painting, too :cutie:

I'm here! The grand opening was yesterday, and it apparently went fine. It was over by the time I got there, but I heard it was crazy busy with people coming to view the model apartments and such. I'm off this weekend, though :yay: My mom and I went grocery shopping today and wound up at the thrift store and bought some old board games. Most of them are for my niece, but I got the first Disney Scene It for myself.

I also made these today, using my Mickey egg mold:

They came out pretty well, but I didn't feel like doing the chocolate bit. Maybe tomorrow

How are you guys doing? I hope those of you who're sick are feeling better

Thanks. I'm almost starting to feel normal again...although I think I've lost a couple of brain cells over the last 2 weeks. Ness hasn't been on line; so I hope she is getting rest and isn't feeling too poorly.

I'm looking and salivating at your Mickey rice crispies. Can I have the recipe? And stupid me ... I didn't even think about using the egg mould for this application!! I'm so going to have to get DH to get some when he goes in October!

Yay for feeling almost-normal :yay: I hope Ness starts feeling better soon, too. Being sick for so long really sucks :(

The recipe was actually on the box of cereal AND on the bag of marshmallows, but they were two different recipes :rotfl: I think it was half a stick of butter or margarine, 5 cups of the cereal, and then it said 40 large marshmallows, but I used a 10oz bag of mini marshmallows and it probably could have used a little more cereal. I microwaved the butter and marshmallows for about a minute, stirred, microwaved for another minute, then stirred them until the marshmallows were completely melted. I added the cereal and stirred it up until the cereal was completely coated. Spray the bottom and sides of a pan (or cover it with tin foil, then spray that) and pat the rice-marshmallow mix onto the bottom of the pan. You don't have to bake it or anything, since it'll cool in about 30-60 minutes. They're insanely easy to make, since there's only three ingredients, it's just very sticky.

But yeah, I didn't even think about using the Mickey mold for it until I saw it on the shelf by the microwave  My dad was amused when he came back from walking the dog and saw them :)

Thanks!

And what did you do with the REST of the mix??? I'm going to need about 20 of those egg moulds in order to make the mickey ears concurrently....

We just did them one at a time, and ate the leftover bits as they were. It didn't bother us. We've still got about half of the pan left.
