Here's Melbourne's General Post Office, which marks the center of town in the maps. We're about to start the Mary Poppins season here...hence the flags. I love this building. It's now been converted to a shopping mall and I still miss the Post Office.

That post office is beautiful! Most of the post offices here (that I've seen) are just storefront shops. The one right by my house is teeny tiny.

This is what Victorian architecture can be like in Melbourne. These are Italianate style terraces. The National Heritage offices operate out of here.

That post office is beautiful! Most of the post offices here (that I've seen) are just storefront shops. The one right by my house is teeny tiny.

It was the main post office building for quite a long time! And the interior was beautiful...not like it is now....they had 30 foot ceilings and the most amazing cornices.

Such a shame...but an electrical fire tore through the building and it was refurbished into a mall. I'm glad that they managed to keep the facade.

Remember the shots I'm taking are meant for a photography scavenger hunt...and I'm trying to improve my photo taking.

But I am glad that I live in Australia...and Chicago is beautiful as well. I was there in 1990! (a long time ago).

That's sad yet cool all at the same time There are buildings like that here, but quite a lot of them wind up with some kind of damage. It's sad, but what can you do, you know?

Hey, that skyline is pretty, too I suck at taking pictures and need a new camera. Mine's like five years old and has been through rock concerts, fan conventions, Disney, and Alaska, among other things. I'm hoping to get a new one before the trip

This one is the Polly Woodside; an old sailing boat that is permanantly moored here. It's a museum...and the glass building behind it is the new Exhibition Centre. It's a big shed!

My hobby(s)....Travelling and Shopping. This is a win/win. I get to indulge and go shopping without buying or carrying home a whole heap of souveniers. Anything I buy has to fit in that printer's tray.
