I saw your other SG post come in, but I was getting Fran situated in the other apartment so she could hang with our solo putty tat while I got a ride to band tonight. I haven't been for the last two weeks, so I figured I better go. I didn't have a chance to post another cute icon before my ride arrived and was amazed to find that as the last post!

Today was her first real PT and he worked her out pretty hard. He had her doing all the stretches and then some strengthening exercises. Then they walked to the end of the next door neighbors far property line and back. She was pretty tired at the end, but I think she felt pretty good about it. Tonight we are sleeping in the 2nd apartment (where her deceased father's cat lives). We originally gave the tenants in that apt notice to move back in 1999 when I was selling my place because I had two cats that would not "blend with the herd" (we had 17 cats back then, yikes, I can't imagine that now! we only have 10). We started a precedent of spending every other night with each set of cats to give them equal time.

Once my cats passed away due to old age, we only rotated because the bathtub was in #2 and we had blocked off the tub in #1 to create more litter box space. When she had the hip operation in October last year, we stopped sleeping in #2 because it was too much for her to walk that far. However now that we have a lonely cat living in that apartment, she is making sure we spend time there, so I get to take my tubs! She is over there now watching TV and I am in the main apartment doing emails. She is in pain, but is still taking LOTS of pain meds, combo of morphine and percosett.

Tomorrow we're going to see if she can get into our Chevy Malibu to go to Dr appts, we have had to get out the '63 Lincoln Continental to take her home and to other appts. because it is the biggest and most comfortable car that we own, but she doesn't want to put the wheelchair in that car, so we'll see if she can get in the Malibu for Thursdays appts.

Band was fun, it was the first time in almost a month that I got to get out in a social occasion. I mean I've been to the grocery store, the pharmacy and all that and got to chat with people, but tonight I got to see my friends in a friend environment and it was fun.

I also got a ride up with one of the girls in the band and I talked her ear off, telling her about LTP and how I met a couple lesbians on the DL TR board who plan to fly down to Anaheim and hear our band play when we perform out at the parks in November. The band is an all gay band so my friend who gave me a ride was particularly interested how I met other gals online (they are a couple, nothing hinky) but I had to explain to her that there are enough of us Disney Fanatics that it wasn't hard, she posted a TR on the Disneyland Board, I subscribed, we PMed each other and the rest is history!

The DIS is great for finding new friends, what was it? If our weirdness is at the same level we can all be friends? something like that!

Glad that I have the LTPers as friends as well!

...................... Morning all! Three weeks from today I will be back at......work.... (Actually from yesterday) Just the thought makes me . I just love my summer breaks tooooo much! They're never long enough. All of a sudden the new home projects bug has bitten. It'll be one year here in November, and I've only painted the office downstairs. So much to do. I'm contemplating a media room... but it's not at the top of the priority list. DD's room is next. Or maybe her bathroom...

I'm off to get my hair done. TTYL!

Nice to see that you have your priorities straight....hair first; before the home projects!!

Also, Alison, I'm glad things are going well with Fran's rehab so far Some of my residents have told me that was the hardest part of any procedure they had done.
