we did the snorkeling at Typhoon Lagoon and we didn't know how uncomfortable it would be! and that isn't even "real" snorkeling![]()
Was it real expensive to book the excursion?
The open water snorkeling in Nassau was $42 each. That included the catamaran ride through Nassau Harbor with a guide telling us all about the sites. The ride out was about 30-40 minutes. Then we anchored and snorkeled for about an hour. Then the ride back. All together it was 2-1/2 to 3 hours. I thought the price was very reasonable for what we got.
The snorkeling on Castaway was $25 each. That was for the use of the snorkeling equipment (mask, fins, snorkel) all day. I had a problem with one of the fins - we won't go there - oh, heck, sure we will - I sat on the beach at the edge of the water and put the fins on, stood up, managed to put one fin on top of the other and tried to walk, ended up face down in the water
Anyway, the fin ripped at the heel and I had to take it back to the rental area. I figured they'd give me grief and charge me for it but they just swapped it out for me - no questions asked. If your kids have their own snorkel stuff they can use that instead of renting.

man it's crowded here
