 I don't like to call in sick either. And sometimes having a "little" cold is worse than the flu... b/c it just lingers, and lingers, and lingers on...........

Yep-that's what this one is doing-a little sore throat in the am, and a HA that just wont go away

-Oh well -I was planning on taking a sick day in 2 weeks to spend time with DS before he heads back to the Navy-now I might not-but I might- the guilt of calling in just about kills me :guilty:

me too, but sometimes you just need to put yourself and your family first.

I was sick in Oct and I kept going to work... my nurse was out due to surgery and I had this horrible substitute nurse that the aggravated everyone so I felt like I needed to be there to buffer the kids and staff from her...

well I finally went to the Dr and I ended up having Bronchitis. :sad2: Now if I had just taken it easy, gone to the Dr. earlier and not pushed myself so hard I probably could have avoided it.

Sounds like a good thing-but then again.....

We need to plan on going soon again-maybe next fall with the free dining-but taking the kids out of HS gets a bit tricky-so maybe before Thanksgiving :scratchin

We'll see

Well it was nice chatting with you Liz-time to get DS up and adam for school-talk to you later :wave2:

Morning :wave2: Been enjoying DS company-and now my Parents arrived from Wisconsin yesterday(my x-mas gift to them-we flew them here to see DS)

- Hopefully they wont drive us all crazy-so I have off until Sunday when they leave :thumbsup2

Morning Kim - sorry I missed you! I'm late getting up since the kids are on a 2-hour delay today.

That was so nice of you and your DH to fly your parents in to see your DS. I'm sure they appreciate it!!

Kathy sorry to here that your DD's apt got broke into

-and I hope they recover some stuff-and you know they could go after the Parents of the Boy to recover some of their losses-might be worht at least talking to someone about

We hadn't really thought about the angle of going after his mother. But, truthfully, I don't think it would be a good idea. It's a rough area and I would fear retaliation if they push too hard!

OK time to get DS up soon-Hope Everyone has a Great day

Dogs are barking next door-the Coyote must be near-DH called when he left at 6am and said there was a Huge Coyote at the end of the road just standing there-not afraid at all :scared:

-and we keep seeing signs in the neighborhood reporting lost cats and lost small dogs-guess they most likely ended up being dinner-too bad :sad2:

We're having a coyote problem here too! But we haven't lost any of cats yet. (We do have plenty to spare! :rotfl: ) We're careful if we put Shadow out at night to stay on the porch and watch, though. Luckily, Shadow just steps off the porch and does what he needs to do. He doesn't wander!

Time to turn the heat up-My Dad was here in June complaining that the AC wasn't high enough and now He's complaining again that it's too warm in the house:confused3

-well I'm not going to sit here and freeze-I mean I only keep the house now at 70 to 68 anyways and in summer we only cool down to 76 Whatever :sad2:

:lmao: My mom and I used to go through that all the time.

Morning Liz- They are something else:scared:

- DH said this one was as Big as the German Shepards that are barky now-He thought they had broken lose again-scary stuff-I guess We'll have to keep an eye out for our dog when we put her outside on the leash ;)

We can hear them howling up in our woods. There are a few of them and then you hear the echos of their barks and howling!

But you're a mom....
