did they recover anything from him? and the door got fixed by the landlord or did they have to cover that?

They haven't recovered anything yet. I'm still hoping they will. At least her DH's paintball guns (very expensive).

The landlord did cover the door. He fixed it the best he could yesterday, not that great but it locks, and he did tell them that he would replace it Monday. Her DH is going to go today to get a deadbolt lock for their spare bedroom where they keep their computers and stuff like that so that if someone does get in again they'll also have to break through that door too.

I would offer the same too. But When I was that age, I had to do it the hard way. You are such a good mom!!!

It's so hard to watch them making mistakes that I know we could help them avoid. But, just like you said, they have to do it the hard way. I just keep waiting for them to learn from their mistakes and it's not happening!

And I just don't know what to do - help them - or let them fall (again) and hopefully learn from falling. :sad1: It's very hard!

:scared:

Hope they figure it out quickly!!

I hope so too. They've already wasted a week! :sad2:

glad they got to go to the bigger hospital, sorry it was under those circumstances.

I think she'll be much better there. I don't have much confidence in our local hospital.

keeping their family in my thoughts.

Thanks!

Just talked to my friend. They transferred her DD by ambulance and she is already in a room at Baptist Hospital and they have already met with the doctor down there. So far, he says that he agrees with the doctor up here with the diagnosis of pancreatitis based on the info they sent down with her. But he doesn't know the cause. However, he totally disagrees with the treatment she's received for the past week. They haven't allowed her to have anything to eat or drink except for one cup of broth and a few sips of water for the past week. He says she needs to start on some soft food to see how she tolerates it. Up here she had the broth and her enzyme level went up the next morning so they said she couldn't have any more. This doctor says she needs to be allowed to eat more than that while they're still keeping an eye on her enzyme level. My friend said that she feels comfortable with this doctor, something she never felt with the one up here.
