I can't stand shopping for dresses, bathing suits or bras. Now that is depressing.


Did you find anything? Can you wear like a pant suit? I always feel more comfortable in a pants.

I didn't find anything! And I'm usually so concerned with prices but this time I really didn't have a budget - I just wanted to find something! And nothing!!! Time to shred the closet and see if there isn't something in there I could wear!

I'm considering applying for a job! But I'm so nervous. The police department is advertising for an administrative assistant. DH has been after me since January to look for another job. But I've told him I'm not about to consider any job unless it's something I can see myself doing for the next 20 years, like something in the police or fire field. And now this was just posted yesterday.

The biggest thing is that I've been where I am now long enough that I have some flexability with my schedule. And I'm afraid other places wouldn't be as flexable. I guess I don't know until I try.

So many pros and cons.

wow Kathy! that would take a lot of thought are the hours to your likeing? is the pay more or less then what you make now? can you handle working with your dh?

Go for it Kathy -You can always just interview and worry about the schedule and stuff like that afterwards

But you can't worry about it if you don't at least interview

Man-I'm so tired and dirty right now

-We just empty the yard of broken limbs from the storms this weekend-then took them to the recycling plant

-then I went and got some flowers and planted more flowers pots-pulled up the pansies and put in impatients

-and now I think I got into some poisen ivy or something since I have a rash starting on my legs-good grief

Now DH is saying maybe I shouldn't consider a career change right now. I've got the flexability that I really need at my job right now! UGH!!! I wouldn't really even be considering a change if it weren't for him!

are the hours to your likeing?

Pretty much the same hours I'm working now, except no weekends and holidays. But right now I can work M-F but if I need a weekday off I can schedule someone else and make up my time on the weekends. I'm really pretty spoiled with my flexabilty right now!

is the pay more or less then what you make now?

Just a little more (not worth a career change unless it's something I really want - in other words I wouldn't be switching for the money)- but much better benefits!

can you handle working with your dh?

Absolutely NOT! But this is for the city police and he works for the sheriff's office. Our paths wouldn't cross much at all.
