 I just haven't really had the motivation to work out, and I'm perfectly fine admitting that. I hate working out :lmao:
lol...totally with you :lmao:
I got my dad to get my bike gears fixed but I've not taken the old girl out for a spin yet :rolleyes1

Speaking of gaining 10 lbs....

I'm starting to collect food shots again for the scavenger hunt. I'm going to see how many I can get in the next 3 weeks.

:teeth:

I was looking at cookbooks last night and can't wait for fall so I can start making pies :hyper:

I want to try making a top crust out of leaf-shaped cutouts of dough :lmao: I dunno, it sounds cute. My mom's the type to say "Who has time for that", but it's something I enjoy.

I used to do this. :thumbsup2

I just wish I had the space to do all the baking and experimenting I want to do :sad2: My dad threw away my cake decorator tips because he thought they were junk.

Once I have the money, I'm so buying a KitchenAid stand mixer.

In his defense, he didn't know what they were. Thankfully, they were just the cheap plastic standard ones that come with the disposable bags. I want to get a full set and just start baking once the temperatures start coming down so I can teach myself to decorate cakes. I decorated one of my mom's birthday cakes and it looked like it belonged on CakeWrecks.

I supported myself through Uni with a part-time job at DH's father's ice cream store. This was in the days before we were married...heck...I don't even think we were dating then.

My MiL used to be the cake decorator in the ice cream shop. Her birthday was about 10 months after the shop opened and for her birthday, FiL and BiL didn't want to give her a cake that she decorated herself. I remember that I was working that day and watched both FiL and BiL completely botch up basic foundation work. I'd spent a bit of time watching my MiL decorate so I asked if I could have a go. Afterall, it couldn't be much worse than what they had tried to do.

So, I decorated a cake that was a surprise for my MiL. After that weekend, I got trained up as a cake decorator. I'd love to own a set of professional decorating tips someday. It just hasn't made it to high on the list yet.

I must be in dreamland.

I can hear a ROOSTER crowing in the neighbourhood....and it's only just 7 pm here.

I found a set of professional tips, I just don't have the money :(

I'm glad you learned how to decorate cakes! I could take a class, but they cost money :lmao:

I learnt on the job and from MiL. She got the professional training. But I still know how to make roses! Such a USEFUL skill that is! Pity I don't know how to make the mix to make the roses! :confused3

What time is it over there and why are you still up so late?

Tell the rooster hes nuts! Food why did you show that? I need to go on that thread What for dinner. I need new ideas.

We've been lasting and have managed to turn pages....

I'm a little tired, so I'm getting some Dis time in.

Did you go see those houses?

Oh, random, but where are we headed when the mods finally close this thread?

Probably to that thread that Alison dug up and Skiingfast has been nursing along. It's over 100 pages; so we just have to push it along and we'll get to 250 before you know it.

I'm not sure I can cope with 2 lasting threads on the games board!
