The second "interview" is really just me loitering around the store watching. I'm so wearing flats for that, though, because omg I wore heels today and I hadn't worn them in a long time and my ankles were killing me.

That's gotta be annoying that she wants the sale so soon I hope you guys don't get stressed out over it

In line with starting to wear skirts I've started wearing heels on special occasions. OWWWWWW I have wide feet so just finding ones that fit is hard enough. But I'm so not cut out for wearing heels. Pain....

Oh, I know I'd gotten better at wearing them, but I hadn't worn them in a while, so my ankles weren't used to it anymore. I also have wide feet, so if a pair doesn't fit, I go a size up. That usually works.

Sadly going upsize doesn't usually help for me as I'm a size 11US (42 European, 10 Aus...lol...take your pick) So in many brands they don't go beyond a 42.
The ones that do are usually a bit pricy...

This is one of those times that I surrender my opinions and just follow her lead. In 15 years you learn to fight your battles. We are paying the cleaning lady $20 an hour to help me get things ready, we went through about a dozen boxes today. Three giant one full of clothes and luckily they were all on hangers, so we put them in closets, and then we found at least 3-4 full of crystal and china. We're trying to empty the boxes into the house so no one realizes that some of this is our crap and not just stuff her parents are selling.

I haven't been able to wear heels since my sophmore year in college. I broke a toe and can't wear any kind of heels since then. It was a stupid little break, but there is not way I can wear heels anymore. I have only worn flats since 1986.

Yeah, my problem is that I've sprained both my ankles in the past, so they hurt when I wear heels. I can wear low heels (I have a pair of sandals with a 2" heel) or wedges, but the post kind hurt the most.

The buses are much better here. The store is also, oddly enough, right by the place I hang out at on the weekends, so that'll be convenient But the buses that go between my house and the store are both owl buses, which means that they run 24 hours a day. The nice thing about the CTA is that they recently started this program where you can text a number with the stop ID (which is on the bus stop sign) and it'll text you back with estimated arrival times for the next bus or two. It comes in really handy

Over here, if there is a sale, as long as the items are there on the day of the sale, it doesn't matter.

As "professionals" at garage saleing, the placement of your items is critical, stuff in boxes doesn't sell, it needs to be displayed. But WE won't be conducting the sale, we plan to hire a company to do it. We figure that we need a minimum of 9 people to police each of the various rooms and areas during the sale. We don't have that many friends we could count on to help us pull it off. So if we hire a professional estate sale company they won't be very happy to find that we brought 50 boxes of our own crap to incorporate to theirs. So we need to unpack those boxes and put the stuff in cupboards and closets so it looks like it was always there.
