2 slices of toast with avocado and a cup of coffee. DH reminded me that I promised to go to the supermarket this morning.

Seemed like such a nice thing to volunteer doing LAST night!

I don't know how we used to eat it all, I guess her father ate more than we gave him credit for. Last year we had two turkeys and a ham leftover (which I believe we've already eaten this year), but we picked up a ton of meat between Thanksgving and Christmas. There were 4 porterhouse steaks and 4 ribeyes when I went out to the freezer earlier today. Now there's only two ribeyes. Dinner will be YUM!

So this weekend, I went on the hunt for a number of items - maritime related. DH was behind in his work; given how much distraction he has had with DS being home for school holidays....seemed only fitting that I took DS to the Maritime Museum and let DH catch up.


We went to the HMAS Castlemaine.

It's docked at Willliamstown, and this is what the surrounding harbour looks like....to the port side....and the HARBOUR

....to the starboard.

There was the formal musuem section...

...and then the rest of the ship was decked out as it may have originally have been in WW2.

Sailor's HAMMOCK.

First Officer's Cabin.

They were refurbishing the Captain's cabin; and maybe in about 6 - 9 months time, it might be ready.

I'd gone hunting for MARITIME KNOTS....and my luck at scavenger hunt items is pretty good....but even I thought this was a ridiculous find!

We headed down into the ENGINE room...

Before heading out to the deckside for shots to close out a couple more categories.

We stopped for lunch. FRENCH FRIES with some fish....

...and I also got my shot for LIGHTHOUSE.

Pretty good day all round. DS and I had a great time and DH caught up some on his work.

Wow! You got a lot of items on that day, you're right the knots were absolutely ridiculous, I bet no one else expected such a good find!

So I've been looking around online for a dress for a party that I'm going to at the end of September. I've narrowed it down to a few, tell me what you guys think.

It's a Disney party, so it doesn't matter which one is historically accurate. It's at night so I was sort of thinking of nighttime appropriate, but it is a casual party, no one else really dresses up, but I thought it would be fun!
