I've always been really specific in asking things.
I find a lot rather lazy. If you've made it to somewhere like here...you know how to use the internet...

I know that I could ask a whole bunch of my friends to go vote for my picture....but I still like to think that I won on my own merits. I figure if I pointedly mention that I'm in the final vote, you can decide to wander in or not and then vote for the picture you like the best.

I REALLY like B, but the focus is on colour and I think as beautiful as it is it isn't as 'colourful'

B, D and E are all good. I like to keep in touch with the weekly competition even if I don't have an entry. I learn so much just by looking at the other people's compositions.

Did you stay long enough to see Mark Barbieri's post on Monterey? He's a GREAT photographer who sadly self-retired from the Dis at the start of the year. He's surfaced briefly this week and his pictures of Monterey include a sea otter.

He's started a blog on post-picture processing in his thread and I've stored it in my favourites. I'm not ready to think about post-processing software yet...but it doesn't hurt to learn from someone that I think is streaks ahead of me at this point in time.

So I have a trivia question for everyone. Many of us have eaten a meal at the Liberty Tree Tavern, but who knows the origin of the Liberty Tree and it's significance in American History?

I remember hearing about it when we did that walk along the Freedom Trail in Boston. I can only remember it used to be an elm tree - hanging was involved; and I'm not googling to see if I recall correctly or not!
