Not anymore. She spent 22 years in the ER. Now she's slowed down and went to outpatient surgery. That seems like the retirement home for "Old" ER Nurses.

Back!-I'm in the PICU-working with babies with bad hearts-trying to get them to eat right now-soooo cute

I used to be a paramedic.. Babies always gave me the heebie jeebies. Couldn't deal with the crying. Too tough to see the pain. Adult gunshots were OK.

Love the little ones -worked with adults for my first 5 yrs-yucky! I like being able to pick up my patient all by myself and they're easy to make smile(although we get some adults here too-those with baby heart defects not detected)

That's why DW worked in the ER and OS. She doesn't have the opportunity to get attached to her patients. They're in....They're out.
