My supervisor called today. We have a new district manager and he's making some changes. Well, actually, he's not making changes as much as making us follow some rules that we've always skirted around. It seems if I want to keep my position I'll be working some nights now. I'm trying to keep a positive attitude. I used to work nights and really liked them but I'll have to see how it will work around our schedules and the boys.

It's one of those things that we knew was coming sooner or later. The old DM didn't mind us getting around the rules 'cause our store runs so efficiently and we run a "pretty tight ship." But the company doesn't like two front-end managers crossing over their hours much and she and I work together a lot.

Very very good choice on that one. However, myself, I may have gone with the 321-4343 SSPLZ GeForce 9863 X17-5. That is what I have on my Dell. It helps the flux capacitor run a little smoother, and not lag so much.

As far as my absense from DIS, I just got out of posting. I am proud to say, however, that since November, I have lost 40+ pounds.

oh no, sorry about this Kathy...does your DH still work shifts with his new job?

He doesn't work shifts, as such, but he does work both days and nights. For example, today he worked 1-5, came home and had dinner and then went back from about 8-11. Most of the times he can set his own hours but if something goes on he gets called in. And he is on call pretty much 24/7.

And on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays he has opportunities to work some off-duty work and that's where the $$$ so I really can't afford to work on those nights. My boss knows that.

I consider today to be my last "real" day off from work.

Tomorrow we have Special Olympics all day. A.J. is competing in the 50-meter dash, 100-meter dash and softball throw.

Friday I have to go to Conover for (yet another) new mask for my machine.

And Saturday and Sunday we're going to the lake.

And then it's back to work and all the regular stuff that goes along with working full-time.

I really would like retire and be independently wealthy!
