Well, I just spoke with my cousin. The call this morning was exactly what I thought it was. My cousin in Ohio passed away this morning!

He just gave up. He's been in the hospital since before Christmas and was to the point that he knew how bad he was. He was 6'4' and down to around 100 pounds! If he lived he would never walk again, he was on dialysis, it's just not the way he wanted to live so I know in my heart he just gave up.

He had been in an accident in December, he was unloading a truck - standing against the loading dock of that truck and another truck backed up and crushed him between the truck and the loading dock.

He was only 55! Please remember him, and his son and daughter (both grown with children of their own) in your prayers!

For everyone else that needs one.

I have seen Liz post on the Survivor or Amazing Race thread - I think. But I haven't heard from Kelly since the pm I got from her back in mid-March.

To make matters worse, I just got an email "inviting" me to attend a 4:00 meeting.........who schedules a meeting at 4:00 on Friday

Yuck! A 4:00 meeting on a Friday is the pits! Where I work we only get those types of "invitations" when someone is in trouble!

Well-looks like I wont be able to get to WI after all -The funeral is scheduled for Monday and Tues am-I was scheduled to fly in on Tues at 1pm-and I really can't afford to change the times because my work schedule and the cost involved in flying in earlier-I'm so bummed!!!

I would go if it wasn't also because we're trying to buy a house this week and had to put $$ down for the Earnest money. Now if I could get the seller to make a decent counter/counter offer!!!

Sorry you won't be able to make it Kim. I'm sure the family will understand, though.

I would have liked to be able to go to my cousin's funeral but there is no way I could drive up there by tomorrow. (And, under the circumstances, I don't think driving up alone would have been too smart right now - and I doubt my husband would have let me!) And I don't fly so that was out of the question. My other cousin knows that I've been sick and just couldn't make the trip so I know they understand.
