will be getting my windshield replaced as I got a chip from a rock on the highway, and now its spread across the windshield (since thursday). and gonna get some done too.

the other con is we are getting really bad freezing rain right now, soon to turn into snow, which could mean that we might have had a snow day tomorrow....

same as us. we only get thanksgiving and the friday off in the fall, two weeks at winter, one week at spring and about 6 holidays during the year

...Lodi, a traditionally predominantly-Italian town doesn't even have Columbus Day off! We don't get Election Day off either.....

We DO have NJ Teachers' Convention (which DIS'ers 'lovingly' call "NJ Week" ) and Veterans' Day, a 4-day Thanksgiving weekend, the day before XMas, till Jan 2, NO Marting Luther King off, NO Washington or Lincoln's B-Day, but we DO get 'Winter break', which is the 3rd week of February, a week for 'Spring break', which usually does NOT fall after Easter (last FULL week of April), a 3-day weekend for Memorial Day, and that's about IT....

Good morning to all!

I came home from work yesterday (after also doing my grocery shopping) and felt fine and by 8 last night had a full-blown cold! I've got the aches, the stuffy nose, and couldn't sleep 'cause of the congestion! So far, though, it feels like it's fast moving so maybe it won't be too bad. As long as it is gone - or at least the congestion part is gone - by Thursday 'cause I have to go have that sleep study done Thursday night!

The kids are off school today but I have to work. Bummer. I do miss the days of getting to stay home with them since I went full-time!
