thanks I used a lot of hearts and butterflies in it too....I then made DD a flannel rag quilt with lots of hearts, butterflies and PINK...but I used a sewing machine for it DH has a hunting/nature one and DS has Pokeman. The funny part is, they litterally fight about the blankets when someone else uses it...and DH is the worst about it

That's too funny!! My mom showed me how to make blankets that you don't sew. They're super easy to make and I made one for my godson for christmas and he gets mad at anyone who trys to use it
I won't show my mom your pictures b/c then she'll start bugging you for one she's been wanting another quilt since hers got messed up and we don't know anyone who makes them


there really isn't much going on with me, just the same old same old. still looking for a job, I've got to start my Fin aid paperwork very soon, and I still don't have a boyfriend

My cousin/godson came home in Dec and I've been with him almost everyday since. I missed him sooooo much. he's trying to talk me into moving to Fort Worth with him now

I didn't make this one, I found it online, but it's like the ones I made, I made me a disney babies one and andie wanted a blue one (her favorite color) and mymom made a black and blue one almost the same color as this one

I FINALLY ordered my photos and cards....and I found pictures of the handmade quilt I made....I cut and sewed each peice myself and quilted it by hand....then DD said it was too "purple"

Oh, Lyn, the quilt is beautiful!!!!

(And there is no such thing as too purple! Purple is my favorite color!!)

oohh, my DMil has a red and white one like this...they are really soft
I was sewing for several months and I have three more blankets to finish, for my neices...but haven't gotten to them with the holidays....I need to get back on that.

The latest thing I am into is trying to raise some of our own food. DH planted a bunch of fruit tree and veggies/fruit/spices and we just got 12 chickens....yesterday we had 6 eggs my kids love it...each after noon we go on an egg hunt

It's so easy to make those blankets. It's alot easier than Crocheting them, I started on one about 3 years ago that I still haven't finished, but I can make 3 or 4 of these in about an hour

I bake a lot...yesterday I made 3 passion fruit chiffon pies and that used 15 eggs. But, I have admit that I have as much fun searching for the eggs as the kids it takes total restraint not to push them out of the way and to keep quiet when I find one so that they can "find" it

They had the pillow covers at Joanns when I went to buy the fleece, they had a really cute pooh one that I was gonna make for my godsister, but we had already gotten her something
