Not such a cheery one here-DSIL outlook is pretty grim even if they caught it early enough-the 5yr survival rate is less than 50%-man this is going to be a tough next few weeks -she goes for Surgery on the 15th and can use any extra prayers you can offer

I will be keeping her in my thoughts and prayers!

I had a nice afternoon at the school. I did some sorting for dd's teacher for an hour and then she said she had nothing else for me to do, so I was going to leave. I really didn't want to b/c I planned on being there all afternoon, so I found some more work to do.

I ended up making some little booklets for the VP and then stapled the school's newsletter (there are alot of kids in that school )

Liz - how many kids are there in the school. Is it k-8???? Our school is K-8 and the total enrollment is only around 150!!

thank goodness the kids are off to school!!! I went and checked Catie's grades on-line and found a few assignments missing-so it was a little stressful-she gets really defensive to say the least

but now she can't lie to me about any of her work-now if I could get the system to work for Kyle-although he says he has it Under control-we'll see about that real soon!!!!

I wish we had on-line access to grades like you do!

Whew! I'm finally caught up with all the reading back I had to do!!

Now that I'm all caught up on what's been going on around here I guess I'll share what's been going on here.

Yesterday we had a meeting with the attorney that has been appointed A.J.'s Guardian ad Litem. It was very emotional for me. She spoke to A.J. for about 20 minutes. After our meeting she said that she would be petitioning the court in our favor next Tuesday to have A.J. declared incompetent and petitioning that we be made his guardians. It is so hard for me right now. (Even now, when I started typing this I started crying.) We've spent the last 17-1/2 years teaching him, and helping him and telling him to never say "can't" and that he can do anything he sets his mind to. And now we have to go to court and ask that he be ruled incompetent. It's just such a hard word for me to handle!

The attorney did say that A.J. does not need to go to the hearing with us Tuesday. She said that they would be using that word a lot and he just doesn't need to hear all of that!!

Hopefully, though, Tuesday it will be all over and we can get on with life!
