F.Y.I. - I am now hearing they are not letting you take Cellphone, laptop or PDA on the plane. You are going to have to check all that stuff in your UNLOCKED luggage. So just be prepared.
Maybe call ahead and find out what the rules are going to be for your flight.

i looked on southwest page and airprt page and it didn't say anything about that!! lets hope it stays that way!!

I had thought that only the flight from Great Britian were under the stricter rules...but maybe some of the bigger airports are getting stricter

Hi everyone, just stopping by for a quick update.

MY brother, finally arrived in Baltimore after 5 hours at the airport. safe and sound.

My DBil is doing well, the surgery took a little longer than expected as it was larger than they anicipated, but all looks well, we'll have to wait for the biopsy results next week.


The Kids are staying with my SIL's parents for the night.

Well its been a long day, so you be last for now, and I'll catch up over the weekend. TTFN

It could be the bigger airports. But they made a lady throw out her lipstick that she had in her purse.

UPDATE on my Grandfather

he had the procedure to put the drain tube in his lung today

it was suppose to be out patient but they are keeping him at least 24 maybe 48 hours ( we hope for 48 )

he is also dehydrated so they are working on that

he just decided a few days ago not to drink anything
Mom is constantly having to fight with him

Glad they decided to keep him in the hospital where they can keep a close eye on him!

Sorry I dropped off today. I had a rough day.

We have to go through some court stuff because A.J. is turning 18 in December. We have to petition the court to allow us to be his guardians once he turns 18. (Imagine having to ask to take care of your own son.)

I went yesterday to file the petition, step 1.

Today we were served with legal papers, step 2. Very hard considering DH's job - being served by another deputy and feeling like everyone knows your business.

The court has already appointed a guardian ad litem to protect A.J.'s interest.

The first legal proceeding is to have him declared incompetent. It is so hard to see that on paper. I mean, we know it, we don't try to deny it, but it's still hard to have to have the court system declare it!

Then the next proceeding will be to ask the court to allow us to be his guardians. Everyone we've talked to says it's no big deal (DH has even talked to a judge about it) but he is our son and it's very nerve-wracking to think that if anything were to go wrong they could appoint someone else.

It's going to be a difficult couple of months. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers that everything will move smoothly!
