Hope Kim is having a safe trip! I can't wait until she gets internet service next week and fills us in on the move and what they rented. I hope they're able to rent the house they're hoping for!

He said it went really well and that it seemed very positive overall. I guess it will be one month more before anything is decided...and it guess it seems that they would expect him to travel 5 days a week for at least the first year

So, I asked if he would take it if it was 5 days a week and he said he would if the money was right

I told him how I felt...that I want him to enjoy going to work each day (I know how it is to hate each morning having to go to work)...but it just doesn't seem worth it...I mean honestly, if we have enough for our needs and some of our wants, I honestly don't think more money would bring us more happiness...If it was only two of us, I don't think it would matter...but with 2 kids we need to think of our family first...I don't know, I told him I don't think we could continue our lifestyle as it is and have him gone the entire week and then exhausted on the weekends...it just isn't reasonable...not too mention I would be doing everything alone all week and I work a little far from our home and where the kids go to school.

Plus, I feel like it keeps snowballing. At first he would be gone 2 or 3 days...then it was 3 or 4 and now 5....next thing I know I will be living here and he will be living there

It is so heartbreaking...the whole thing sucks. I want him to be happy....but I want the kids and I to be happy too!

I'm reading back and finally got to your initial post after the interview Lyn! Hope things work out for you. It sounds like the new position would be a total lifestyle change for the whole family. And like you said, money isn't everything. That's what DH and I said when we moved up here from FL. We gave up a lot as far as money goes but that's not always the most important things.

Good luck to you and DH while you're going through all the decision making!!!!

Lyn I know exactly the dilema you are in with the job
my DH has put us thru it twice once when the girls were real little and the job he looked at had alot to offer but her would have been gone at least 4 days a week sometimes 5 I told him I didn't sign on the be a single parent and he decided he hated beign away that long so he passed the second job switch was 6 years ago and it was hard he left a Good job for a Great job but when he first started there was a 300.00 a week pay cut
after 3 months he made equal and after 6 much more but job changing can be scary ( sorry to ramble)

Tracy You better check in at least once and awhile while Andie is gone to let us know how you are and how she is Plus 2 weeks is too long to go with out at least saying HI

Kathy what is up with these Headaches ?? Have you had your eyes checked lately?? Been to the Dr???? I understand headaches far to well

Liz I know the leave work just to turn around and go back feeling
it stinks but it is worth it whenyou end up with 3 days off in a row

okay I know i missed some but cut me some slack it is 2 AM

Was to the doctor again yesterday. My blood pressure is still a problem and he put me on even more medications! I am on five now! But my blood pressure was good at the time I was in his office and because it's going up and down and not just staying up all the time he doesn't think it's the blood pressure causing the headaches.
