That was quick...I didn't expect you to be on here! From what I've read it's brain fluid that develops in a sac on the neck, similar to a tumor. If it can be removed without interfering with the neck then it's okay. But often it interferes with the structure of the neck and the jugular vein. It is also often associated with Down Syndrome. (Which, knowing her, having a child with Down Syndrome wouldn't be any big deal! )

We are taking the girls to see it on Thursday if all goes as planned

The girls are playing a home version of Survivor they made up

It's a really action packed movie-and they'll love it!!!!!

There are several of us with it in our siggies now

Kathy I "googled" cystic hygroma. and all the info was really compicated and hard for me to understand

seems like Moist cysts on the Neck area are the most common

Hmmm-lets hope it turns out ok-good thing being is that I've never heard of it-that means most kids with it never end up in the PICU!!! So that's a good sign!!!

I just got off the phone with a friend of ours. (She's my godson's grandmother.) My godson's mommy just found out that she's expecting again but there are complications. They've told her that the baby has cystic hygroma. Anyone ever heard of this or know anything about it?? I've looked it up on line but was wondering if any of you have any first hand knowledge. (Kim - where are you????)

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers!
