He is really right though, I don't like doing "beach" vacations...I rather stay at a hotel here or just go to the beach for the day....we have really wonderful hotels...we went last May when my friends were visiting 
But, we go to Disney for the same reasons all of you go, safe, happy-family fun 
I think one of the big things we really like about Disney is that there is safe, fun nighttime activities for our young family. DH was just saying last night how much he enjoyed WDW and that he is really looking forward to going. Honestly, I think he likes WDW much more than DL....more choices on food, different types of theme parks, the quality/value ratio of the hotels are better and the water parks and easy transportation system....too bad it is farther away for us though.I was looking at the DCL activities and I think that if we did any, it would be touring the towns and those types of things. We probable wouldn't do snorkling, glass-bottom boats and things like that.

you are definitely pulling a Kathy! where are you going? what are you up to? 
I had to do that with my Old English Sheepdog back in '97. I got him when I was 12, had him for over 15 years! Since I was an only child he was my sibling, friend, playmate, child. He was my everything. But the time came for me to do what was right for him and not think about myself. I miss him still. Done of my children knew him (except T who was only 18mos old) but they all know him and actually talk about him.
