I need to get myself a decent pair of summer shoes that I can wear with slacks/capris and stand in for hours at work.

My heavy work shoes just won't work anymore.

There were more walkouts in about 4 High Schools here in Houston again today

I had heard about the walkouts in CA but not in Houston!

I'm back from our meeting....

Let me start by saying this: Brandon is at school right now and had a good morning. I actually stayed and did some busy work for the teacher in a corner of the room from ~10-11:30. He did well and actually raised his hand a few times to answer questions.

I left at lunchtime.

now for the meeting.... dh and I were there, along with Brandon. The principal, his teacher, the guidance counselor and the school's psychologist.

We decided that we would start with me coming in to volunteer in the school for awhile. That he has to go into his classroom, on his own willingly. And that I could pick him up from school at the same time that the bus does, so I could be back at the other kids school in time.

The principal said that she was going to talk to "the powers that be" and see if they can somehow fit him in to our home school, where Trav and Madison go. She said that she can't promise anything , but she will try.

I feel pretty good about it all right now. I hope that he has a good afternoon and that there are no problems.

Kliz - Sounds like it was a positive meeting. I didn't realize that Brandon was going to a different school than Travis and Madison are. Do you mind me asking why that is??

I hope it's good news when he comes home today.
