Good Morning everyone!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes!

Sorry I didn't check in yesterday. I had to work, and then I had to meet DD at the dentist's office at 2:30 (long story there ), then DD and I went to Panera for a late lunch and then I had just enough time to get home to pick up A.J. and get him back to town just in time for the football game. Yesterday was a whirlwind!

I do really appreciate everyone remembering my birthday and sending out wishes yesterday!

How is your DD and her new DH doing these days?

DD is staying up here again tonight so we are having a pig-out night!

We're having buffalo shrimp, beer battered shrimp, perogies, onion rings, chicken bites, cream cheese jalapeno bites, cheese sticks, fried mushrooms, mini corn dogs and soft pretzels filled with cheese!! And, of course, cheese sauce, blue cheese dressing and sour creme for dipping! No calories or cholesterol here.

good evening everyone

I have been working SO much that I never get over here anymore

I have worked almost full time as a sub for the past two weeks, and I have assignments until Oct 22!!!

I told DH that I am going to use some of that extra $$ to pay for a MVMCP night in Nov. We've gone every year for the past 3 years, but were going to skip it this year.... not anymore!!

Update on Jess:

She is still in alot of Pain and struggling to walk
we have changes Dr's.
The one we had is NOT be aggresive enough in trying to find the problem
Monday we see the new Dr

I am fighting with the school
I want a tutor to help her from falling further behind and they are
saying I need a Dr diagnois
I will talk to the new Dr about it on Monday

I just hate seeing her hurt so much
she tires so easily...

Did you have a nice B-day?

My co-workers really made a big deal out of my birthday and I was so shocked. I hadn't told anyone that my BD was coming up but one of my friends came by the store on Thursday and bought me a beautiful boquet of flowers because she didn't think she'd get a chance to see me on Friday. I had gone to the bank and she left the flowers with one of the cashiers so then my secret was out and everyone knew. On Friday one of the cashier's brought in a cake and gave me some bath stuff, another friend from work gave me a cookbook, another friend from the store got me a flower arrangement, another friend had flowers delivered to me at work and I got a whole bunch of cards. I really was overwhelmed because we don't usually go all out for birthdays at work.

We had decided that we were going to keep my birthday very low key (i.e. cheap ) at home since we've been spending all this money on the house but tonight we are going to Outback for my birthday dinner.

How is your DD and her new DH doing these days?

DD is okay. She had come up Friday to have a tooth pulled. Her jaw is locking up and she went to a new dentist in Charlotte and he told her it was her wisdom tooth. She wasn't comfortable having it pulled by a new dentist and had that dentist send everything back to our regular dentist up here. She got into the dentist's chair and they did the topical numbing stuff but hadn't done the novicaine yet and our dentist looked at the xrays that the other dentist had sent and said that he didn't agree! He was afraid to remove the wisdom tooth for fear that it may be messing with her jawline. He really thinks it's a third molar that is causing the jaw problem. So he referred her to the oral surgeon up here and she has an appointment Thursday morning (her birthday). So we should know Thursday what she'll have to have done.

Her new DH is fine (I guess). She stayed here all weekend and just left a little bit ago so I'm wondering if she and her DH are squabbling because she's never done that before. But I did enjoy having her here for the weekend.
