Yeaterday we finally got a little yard work done and we finally got to go back to the Outback-we celebrated DH B-Day a bit late, and the food was sooooo good -as usual

Did you see the news for our sleepy little town??

The little Mountaineers pulled off one of the greatest upsets in college football history. Appalachian State 34, No. 5 Michigan 32.

DH was called out last night to help escort the ASU buses back into town and manage crowd control. They had a huge celebration at the ASU stadium but unlike so many of these types of celebrations elsewhere it was very peaceful and just a great celebration!

So far I am thoroughly enjoying my weekend off. I have a three day weekend. Today marks my second day off...and my first time in four weeks that I have had two days off in a work week.

Yesterday DH and I went to TN shopping. It was a planned trip and something I've been waiting for!

We ordered our family room furniture - which will be delivered as soon as we get the carpeting in, we purchased our new kitchen set - a huge table, six regular chairs, two captain's chairs, a bench and a china hutch, and we picked out our carpeting. The kitchen set will be delivered this week. It's unfinished so we will have to spend some time staining it. And the carpet installer should be out this week to get measurements for the carpet.

I am so excited that this is finally moving along!!

And DH is "trying out" a new toy this weekend.

He has "borrowed" a 4-wheeler from a friend at work and if he likes it (yeah, like I believe he's not going to like it ) then he's going to buy it. He's already made the deal with the guy as far as the final price and it is a good deal so....

Glad to hear that things are moving along for you. We are just about finished on the outside. The major things like the roof, painting and now the A/C than we are going to start on the inside.

Right now I only have one quote so far. And it wasn't too bad. But I am calling in a favor from the guy that does work for our company. He is going to give me the units at 15% above his cost and I am going to hire one of his guys on the side for cash to do the install.
