for both of us!! we don't go often, it takes about an hour to drive there, which isn't too far. Me and Arthur went Sunday night, but other than that I haven't been to the beach in about a year. He did say he wants to start going more often though, so we might go again soon :thumbsup2

I love the beach, but I don't like to get in the water much at our beach. Brown water doesn't really appeal to me :rotfl:

eeewwww  I guess you don't eat fish from there either :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I used to go a lot...when I was younger...most every weekend. Now-a-days we usually try to go every weekend or every other weekend with the kids...usually from around April to October it is nice and hot and the water is calmer at the place we go... :sunny: the place we go is about 30-45 minutes from my home too.

When I was younger, it was safer to go camping at the beach and we used to always go...I love the sound of the waves when I am falling asleep or waking up..so soothing (and it wouldn't matter what color the water is...I bet it sounds the same :cloud9: )

Hi Everyone!

What a day I've had.

Andrew and Matthew had their annual ski trip. I went in to the dr to have a mole/mole tag checked because all of a sudden (like in two days time) it had grown and was really painful. He removed it so right now I'm not real comfortable!

:grouphug: I am so sorry it is uncomfortable...but I am glad they removed it. I think I am the only one around...it has been lonely :guilty: but now you are here :teeth:

Thanks! It's not nearly as uncomfortable now that he removed it as it was last night and this morning!

Where is everyone tonight??? Are you still at work???

Remember awhile back i asked you all to pray for my Uncle

well he had a heart catherazation (sp???)
and they found nothing to cause the pain at first

than they said that the artey leaving his heart goes into spasm
they described it kinda like an eye twitch only in the artey

Weird :confused3 I wonder if that is treatable or if he just has to learn to live with it

I'm just reading back....

Kayla, I'm glad your uncle is doing better. At least this doesn't sound life-threatening.

:rotfl: I wasn't always like this...well, before my kids were in diapers and w/ baby food and so I stocked up on sales...but then, in the last two years I watched what happened elsewhere with hurricanes and realized that could easily be us..or worse if our harbor was damaged and the barges couldn't get in....so I have been doing the stockpile method and it seems to work ::yes:: I shop less, have more real food on hand and spend much less than before :thumbsup2

Just have to keep things organized :p

I've stockpiled for about 5 years or so. I had been sick and out of work and there wasn't much $$ for groceries and the pantry was looking very empty! But at least we had the deep freeze. Then we had a snowstorm and power was out for over 72 hours and we lost almost everything in the deep freeze! It wasn't fun. Ever since then I have stockpiled...just in case!
