That would be a hard call. Just remember he won't be around forever. I know he probably wasn't the best 'Dad'. But sometimes as adults we need to decide when to let go. Because once something does happen there is no going back.

I made some decision that I will have to live with for the rest of my life regarding my Dad. I can't go back. But I have learned from those mistakes.

Sometimes I think that is why we make bad choices. So we can learn and change things in our lives.

the other day I told my DH, it is a shame that the LTP girls don't live closer to each other...then we could hang out...and my DH said, if you all lived near each and hung out....what would you talk about online?

we'd talk about what we were doing when we went home!!!

I just talked to Nana. Grandpa is going downhill fast.

I had offered to go up this weekend and she said no, to not plan on it right now. She feels we'll either be up there by this weekend for the funeral or if I went up I would no sooner get home and have to turn around and go back. It's so hard, but he has gotten to the point that he is suffering and all we can do is pray God takes him soon and he doesn't suffer much more.

Just saw your post about leaving DD. I was cleaning out some stuff today and I found a card that DS made for DH and I for our anniversary several years back. We were leaving them with friends of ours overnight and going to Gatlinburg. It was the first time. His card said, "Happy Anniversary, I love you, now go and have fun!" I'm sure your DD will do fine! But I also know how very hard it is to leave her!!!
