I just realized another reason why it's so spooky outside. It's not only dark but we live close to the road and NO cars are going by. The road must be pretty bad. I'm glad DH is off today!

Who did you know planning vacations was my hobby? o.k. here it goes:
1. DH is ready to go now, so he is way on board.....
2. We decided that with DS starting K next July, we would go the begining of May, during DD's birthday.
3. We want to stay around 7 or 8 nights at CSR, loved it there...I have been watching for best rates to come out. (It looks like I would have that much time off work by then)
4. We already have our APs and we decided we don't want to make a bunch of ADRs or do shows, since we just did all we wanted to do last time. I am thinking I will make an ADR for DDes B-day with either Pooh or Minnie, but other than that we will just eat where we want and try to go at opportune times....no commitments.
5. With all of this, we think we can bring the cost of our trip to 1/2 of what we paid for the last one, which should be o.k. since I have 1/2 the time to save up.....(I have to analyse the hunting store separately and add that in )
6. the big thing is the airfare. On our last trip I paid around $1010 for ALL 4 of us, so this time I know I won't be that lucky and I want certain flights...so I am hoping to get a great airfare. If I don't, we won't be going....I can't see paying $1000 per person

so, that is our plan, to save like we are going, watch the airfare daily and hopefully get there....if we don't go, I am happy we had such a nice trip, I know we are fortunate we got to go at all

Lyn - We went to Crystal Palace for DSs birthday last year and it was great! Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore are there, they even do a birthday parade.

As far as airfare - don't the airlines usually do some great specials in January after all the winding down of the holidays?

so was she qualified she started really fast if you just found out a little while ago you didn't get it....if you lived around here, I would ask if she was related to someone at your workplace

Oh no, I told my DH what the two of you said and now he is asking what picture I put up and if it was his good side and all this time I that I was his better side/half..... men!

Whew - I've finally caught up on everything I missed here yesterday. It was a busy day around here!

I gotta go build a fire in case we lose power. I'll be back on here in a while.

Nice fire going in the fireplace. Today's one of those days to keep it going all day. I'm sure we'll end up losing power with all this ice. I just went outside and we've got at least an inch already.

Thanks Kayla! Yeah, it was definitely worth the wait! I just don't think I'm extraordinary in any way. All of us here do all kinds of different things and are on the go all the time with our kids. But it sure does make me feel good about my life!

It's pretty bad. I just heard on the news that a FedEx plane just slid off the runaway at Charlotte/Douglas airport. They don't usually get too much of this stuff!

i mean i DISLIKE snow alot but I really HATE ice

I'm supposed to go into work today for a couple of hours. A corporate audit team is supposed to be coming up. But hopefully they'll cancel because of the weather.

When Northern NY was crippled a few years ago with Ice my Mom and Dad went up and worked some of the emergancy stations

It was so bad and paralyzing to the whole area

I pray we never see that much ice again


DH has to go to work at 3 am
I hate when he has to drive in bad storms
