I finally get back and now I'm all alone here.

I guess it's because I was a little later than usual getting on here. We had some snow last night and the kids are home from school today (again) so I slept a little late!

Just a little. It all cleared off Friday although there were still a few ice patches when we were heading to Gatlinburg Friday afternoon. Saturday and most of Sunday were cold, but no snow. Then yesterday afternoon the flurries started as we headed home. Right now we've got maybe two inches. We're supposed to be getting more this afternoon. I really don't think they needed to call school off, though!

We might be heading north the week after christmas to see snow and I just need to know how far I think we are going to have to drive to see some.

December is always hit and miss here. I know that we've had a white Christmas a couple of years here (with more than two inches) and we've had a couple of years where we've had a dusting and then I can also remember at least two years where we wore shorts on Christmas!!!

Well, I've got to go get A.J. up. He's got a doctor's appointment at 11:40.

Today is A.J.'s 17th birthday! I can't wait until he opens his presents tonight. All he's asked for is a guitar and we got him one. He loves his country music!!

I guess we keep our eyes on the weather.

We used to play that game when we lived in FL. We'd watch the weather channel for a snowstorm heading through northern GA or southern TN, both not too far to drive, and then head up there for the weekend just to catch some snowflakes.

He's pretty bummed about being sick and having to go to the dr on his birthday but I told him we'd stop at the grocery store and he could pick out whatever he wants for dinner tonight so now he's happier! Best way to cheer him up is with food!!
