Hi guys! Just thought I'd jump on here for a quick turn at last!!!

I'm not ignoring you guys, honest. I'm just playing catch-up with everything else that I didn't get done while we were away. Silly stuff like bill paying, homework and all that fun stuff! :rotfl: Plus, I go back to work tomorrow and need to work some extra hours for a while to make up for the vacation time missed. :guilty:

And now DS just told me he forgot his planner at school - which has all his makeup work written in it - so we have to go down to the school and hope that it's unlocked!

But I am thinking of everyone here on the dis! :teeth:

Even on my walk, they fun of me because I had everything I could possible need.

They said don't worry if you don't have it Kelli will. She has everything including the kitchen sink.
That is me too...In fact, since I am usually overprepared sometimes DH's friends call me "mom" as in "mom will have a bandaid for your cut" and they are all at least a year or more older than me :teeth:

Sometimes it doesn't pay to come home from vacation.

I can relate to that. And let me tell you when I was handing out supplies on the walk you didn't hear those people making fun of me than. Nope. A lady needed and extra pair of socks, well I just happened to have an extra extra pair. :teeth:

Me too!! I always bring way too much!

I am going to have to start packing.. yes I know.. we're 30 days out... but It is part of the fun :)

but first I need to make my list

I am still trying to figure out what I'm going to do for autograph books. Our first trip we used the WDW ones that you buy in the parks.. Our last trip I made the kids some and they were a BIG hit with the characters!! I just can't find the same book that I got last year. I am totally bummed about that.
I already started packing too and yes, it is part of my fun...but I felt bad for DS, he is just as excited to go as I am and was already packing his DVDs and favorite stuffed animal. Each time we went to Disneyland I did books....since we did that already, I didn't want to do it again. So, I found on this board the idea of a t-shirt or pillow case. I am doing the pillow cases.

You take a plastic hoop for sewing and cut a peice of foam to fit the center, smaller hoop. Then, you hot glue it in. (I bought one hard foam and my dad cut the shape for me then cut the foam into two thinner layers with his woodworking saw). Then, I cut out buzz, Mickey and princesses from a peice of fabric I bought and then applied them to the pillow cases. I also stiched around the princess fabric a little. So, DS has Buzz on one side and ::MickeyMo on the other. DD has the princesses on one side and ::MickeyMo on the other. I also bought some fabric pens. Then, in theory, when we get to the park I can put the pillow case in the hoop and the characters can sign the pillow case. The foam is hard so it should be easy to sign and thick so the ink won't bleed to the other side. They also said that some characters like Buzz stamp their name and so when you get back to the room you can trace his name with a fabric pen....hopefully it works out well.

Wow that sounds very cool.

:rotfl2: The funniest one that happened to me recently was when DH and I took our two kids and my sister's two girls to the pool. The older girl was teasing the younger girl, I think because she put her underwear on backwards or something. I stopped the teasing and continued getting my DD dressed. Then, the older girl (who is 9 but is very thin) realized she didn't bring underwear. So, since I packed about 4 undies for my DD (who is 3 1/2 and also thin) I give one to my niece...and it fit her. It was somewhat funny since she had been teasing her little sis about 2 minutes prior

Being a pack mule comes in handy for everyone.

I hope it works. I figured a pillow case would get more use since it is bigger (more white space to write) and the kids outgrow clothes so fast.

You will have to report back on how it worked out for you.

I think this year I may do the index cards. Only have each character sign one, then do a trip book at home and just put pictures around the signature.

I will have to see what my kids want to do. they may all want to get their own signatures again... well dd and ds5 may be the only ones.
