What do you/did you do?

I haven't made any ADR's for our last two days there, i'm sort of thinking I don't want to restrict us, not sure if this is the right thinking or not?
Our last night is a Sunday night, so i'm thinking our last two days being a weekend could be pretty full on and busy, should I make ADR's or not?

hey, last night I pack, he watches TV (keeps out of my way while I cram the bags with way too much stuff) and then we hit MK...we have been lucky to have EMH on most departure nights.....

oh, and we try to eat all the food that's left, makes for some interesting combos...M&M's with yoghurt and cereal and mini bagels and fruit cup..yummo, oh and philly cheese and jam...and then hit space mountain

note to self, dont buy as much groceries this year...

A very important decision for us too as its the last time you see that Disney magic before re entering the real world.

For us;

Yr1 DLR - big thunder ranch dinner at DL then straight on the shuttle to lax

Yr2 DLR - As above ( we really like this place and that corn bread mmmm!)

Yr3 WDW - MK all afternoon and then 1900 park fare character dinner at the grand Floridian !

For me we made sure the last thing we did was watch the fireworks at Magic Kingdom gotta make sure you say good bye to the castle:sad1:

I would make an ADR - you dont have to keep it!!

We went to Narcoosies - loved it!!!

(left the teens at the resort with two chores, do some laundry and pack their bags) :rotfl2:

We did Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party at MK and it was an awesome way to finish :thumbsup2

We like to spend the last night in a theme park, to make the most of our time. So we normally book a dinner at an in park restaurant like Via Napoli, Le Cellier or Rose and Crown etc.

Narcoosies is one of the restaurants I thought i'd love to go to, but is it child friendly?

Then, seeing the fireworks on our last night would be very fitting (and i'm sure i'm going to cry like a little girl :p )

148 days to go!

It's not cheap ( it's a 2 x on Disney dining plan) but its a great spot. We took the kids and they have a very tasty kids meal menu, plenty of smiles and if you time your ADR well you will be able to see the water version of the electric light parade with piped music and of course the grand finale , the MK fireworks!

The servers will hold your meals etc so you can go outside and watch on the deck ( with piped music that plays at MK ). of course you can always just watch from inside too as the restaraunt had tiered views.

Food for the adults is great. Can't recommended the Maine lobster and steak more!

One of our favorites.

That sounds amazing :scratchin

Thinking...

definitely recommend Narcoosees - there were plenty of kids, you can go outside to watch the fireworks.

As Melb5 mentioned you will use 2 credits per person on the dining plan, but you can order a whole lobster. :thumbsup2

I would pay out of pocket for your son.

Your on free dining right, have you considered classing your son as adult - there is a small increase as he will have adult park tickets, (really not much at all) but then he will have adult dining credits and can choose off the full menu. Or you can use the credits for more meals and pay out of pocket from the childrens menu.

I just booked Narcoosee's for the Saturday night, our second last night.

The menu does look amazing, already decided i'm ordering the lobster :rolleyes1 and I think DH is too

If we did want to put him on the adult plan how would we do it? Can we do it at checkin or would be need to do it earlier?
Makes alot of sense paying OOP and something I didn't even know I could do :thumbsup2

Not sure where you are staying but if you come via MK then make sure you catch the ferry over as it sets the scene so well. On the way back wander through the GF and through the main lobby ( its really worth a look) on the way upstairs to get the monorail home.pixiedust:

I never had to upgrade my children to adults (everyone is adult over the age of 9) but people do it all the time - you will have to do it before final payment.

Did you use a TA, just ask them?

You could search the dining forum.

For us it would be an ADR and then watching Wishes over the castle. :cloud9: with me being dragged out as I keep turning around to look at the castle öne last time" doing this :sad1:

I really hate the last night....so sad, yet makes you want to start planning the next trip.....

and since we are doing a celebrity Queensland cruise 2013 instead of WDW, it wont be til 2014 that we go back.....

another good thing to do last night is collect maps for the parks etc that arent all scrunched up etc....great for your scrapbook...also taking those last minute stupid photopass shots..be silly, go nuts....

use up all your left over snack credits for the trip home...you know I was thinking of making a t shirt of
"This is my last day at WDW, so please handle with care"..:stir:

i do enjoy a good t shirt :thumbsup2
