I am new to the boards. I was just wondering if anyone could give me some tips. We are leaving this week for Disney World. We are only going for 2 days in the park. We will arrive on Wednessday and check in (staying off disney). Then I was thinking the next morning going to Downtown Disney. Then we have tickets to the Pirate pirate: and Princess Party princess: that night. Then Friday we are spending all day in Magic Kingdom. We could only go for a short trip due to money and my husband having to take leave (he is army). I am a huge disney fan but dh isn't really. He went once and said he really didn't like it. I dont' know how. I haven't been there in 12 years so I am thrilled to be going again. I can't wait to see my kid's faces. I am so excited, I am driving dh nuts because it is all I think about. I made a countdown calandar for my son who is 5 years old. :earsboy: He is so excited, he has been saving all his birthday money and holiday money even if it was just a $1.00. Any change laying around he picked it up and put it in his piggy bank. He has been doing this for more than 6 months so I was glad when dh agreed to go to disney so he see what he could get from saving. Any ideas on what we should make sure we do. We also have a 23 month old. It is a short trip but I want to get as much out of it as we can. I am just on :cloud9: for going. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. Any advice would be great. I am trying to plan this out so it is a smooth trip but I have never had to plan a trip like this. Last time I went I was 14 years old. :tinker:

Get to the MK on your last day, at park opening which is 9:00 a.m. Go to Fantasy Land and you should be able to do all the rides over there. If there is a long wait, use your ticket and get a ticket called a "Fast Pass". This will enable you to get a ticket to come back to the ride and do it during a specific time, with little or no wait. "Mickey's Toon Town Fair" opens at 10:00 a.m., so after you get Fantasy Land done, go over there.

The first ride you should try for is Dumbo, this ride is a must do, and as the day goes on, the line becomes longer and longer.

Have a great day and I hope your dh finds the Magic.

Are the tickets park hopper? If so, I'd hit Magic Kingdom one day and split the other day between MGM and Epcot or Animal Kingdom, depending on whether your 5 yo likes animals or you think the husband would enjoy Epcot. If you can just pick 2 parks, go MK and you have a major decision to make on the 2nd.

I'm taking my 4 yo daughter for her first trip next week. She pumped about seeing the castle.
