Last minute trip planning

Has anyone ever planned a last minute trip? maybe something when you thought about leaving within 2 weeks or so?

My DW is expecting in May and we were thinking of one more trip before the baby arrives.

The thing is I don't know what we can do to pull off getting off from work.

Just thought maybe some DVCers had some tips.

A few years ago, DH and I decided on a Monday we wanted to go to WDW for our anniversary, and left on Wednesday! It can happen!

Relax and go with the flow....congratulations on the newest addition to your family!

Nope, we are from jersey. We wished we lived closer to WDW though.

We usually dont plan until a month before we actually go lol. We are so bad at this! lol Any tips??

Last minute trips:
Went to DTD on a day trip, decided to stay the night, called OKW front desk (MS did not work on Sunday's at that time), and checked in 15 minutes later.
After recovery from surgery, after Dr office visit to get cleared, decided that we needed a recovery day away, called MS, and checked in 20 minutes later.
