Last Minute Reservation for 9/27??

We are currently in the process of waiting to pass ROFR on a resale, but have a trip previously scheduled for arrival on 9/27. We figure we'll be able to make a reservation sometime in June. We're not going to be picky, but would REALLY like to be able to use our membership for this trip. Anyone have any thoughts on how likely it is that we'll be able to find something for 9/27 three months before arrival? I'm just looking to see if there's any hope.

It may depend on what size unit you are looking for. I was able to change reservations last year within the 30 day of arrival point when my son had to drop out of our trip. We went from a 2 BR to a studio. You will most likely be able to get something at OKW or SSR. If your whole time frame isn't available you can waitlist and something may fill in the dates you are missing before the 31 day cancellation without penalty point. This week I was able to get a SV studio at AKV for Sept at a little less than 5 months out so I think you stand a good chance. I don't think you will have much luck getting any of the smaller resorts as your dates are probably at the very beginning of the F&W festival. Good luck on passing ROFR and getting your requested dates once you close.

I can only speak for studios, but I've booked twice on very short notice (a couple months out) for that time frame at BWV. Once I had a boardwalk view, which for me made my disappointment at not getting my beloved BCV much better! One time I split BCV with a BWV standard view.

That is opening weekend this year for the Food and Wine Festival, so I think you may be limited to OKW or SSR booking 3 months out. Good luck!

I have been trying to book a studio for 9/27 - 10/3 and nothing was available. I wait listed and it finally came through. So if you wait much longer it may be tough to get a room if you need a studio for 9/27.

Last year, we booked in August for the last week of September. I asked for SSR and didn't ask about any other resort.

We are planning a trip for the third week of June, and we are currently in the estopple process. What are the chances, if we book less than a month out, will we get a studio anywhere? (I'm assuming that we won't be in Disneys system for another couple of weeks.)

I tried to book that week as DH had a conference come up in Orlando. As of last week nothing available except SSR.
